Toning and balancing is the second half of proper cleansing. Unlike other alcohol-based toners, Skin Freshener doesn’t burn, irritate or dry out the skin. Instead it does what toners were meant to do — stimulate, sooth and heal.

All of the 55 healing herbs are considered “High Healers“ and together are alkaline, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal and stimulate the skin for better circulation to the face. Pure grain alcohol, unlike cheaper versions, purifies the skin, eliminating all bacteria from the pores. What does the burnt sugar do? Sugar is an active healer and general curative when applied to the skin — especially on cuts and burns. (It’s just inside the body that it’s not so helpful.) The other great thing about this toner is that you can apply it directly over the eyes. Skin Freshener was meant to be used after the Cleansing Cream. Cleansing Cream opens the pores to release dirt, Skin Freshener closes the pores. It’s simple to use; simply wet a cotton round and rub over skin — especially over the eyes. Take a deep breath and feel your balance.

P.S. Forget cucumbers. Another great use for the Skin Freshener is to wet two cotton rounds and place them over the eyelids. Leaving them on for 5-15 minutes will sooth, refresh and reduce puffiness.
