Velvetone makes your skin look and feel like velvet and gives you 25+ SPF protection. It appears translucent on the skin and makes up for imperfections in skin tone and color so no one will even suspect that you’re wearing makeup!
Velvetone is a sheer liquid mineral base makeup. It is the perfect way to even out skin tone, or correct for color or redness without having that cakey look or the tale-tell line on your jaw. It also never settles into lines or rubs off onto collars. It feels as though you have nothing on and yet covers completely! Velvetone also color corrects to your skin tone within 5 minutes of applying so there is no need to apply past the jaw line. Since no one has exactly the same shade of skin we consider this is a miracle formula that gives every skin tone a vibrant healthy luminosity.
This amazing formula was developed in 1932, before any of us knew the dangers of sun damage, but one of the key ingredients is Titanium Dioxide which is one of only 3 natural minerals on earth known to block UVA and UVB rays. This naturally occurring mineral refracts light like a cut diamond when the sunlight touches your skin. This is why Velvetone creates that illuminated, radiant look.
Velvetone also creates a protective buffer over the pores to keep out dirt, pollutants and irritants. This happens because minerals sit topically on the skin. We can’t absorb them. Chemicals in competitors foundations are readily absorbed and can cause health problems.

Most people can wear several shades of Velvetone without an issue. However, choosing a shade close to your own skin tone will ensure a natural look. Velvetone was made to be worn on top of Day Moisture Cream. Velvetone is water-resistant but removes easily with Cleansing Cream. Velvetone is fragrance free.

I’m super picky about my makeup so I’m always trying different brands. I keep coming back to Velvetone because there is nothing else on the market quite like this foundation. What makes Velvetone unique is that in addition to giving great coverage it literally “seals in” moisture. I recommend applying it with a light hand (or brush) and then giving it a minute or two to “set.” It looks so glowy and pretty on the skin its almost a shame to use powder on top. It’s very rich and concentrated so a little goes a long way.
